Education


She completed her LL.M from Northern University Bangladesh in 2010 with a CGPA of 3.5 out of 4. Prior to that, she earned her LL.B (Honours) from Northern University Bangladesh in 2009 with a CGPA of 3.54 out of 4. Her academic foundation is supported by strong Higher Secondary and Secondary academic performance from BAF Shaheen College, Jessore and Taragonj O/A Girls High School respectively.

Experience


Advocate Zannatul Ferdous has twelve years of professional legal experience. Since April 2022, she has been practicing at Jashore Court as an Associate Lawyer at Khalid Hasan Jeus Associate, handling criminal and civil suits as well as tax-related matters. Her responsibilities include drafting legal documents, preparing case files, collecting court records, managing land documentation verification, and supporting case strategy.

Previously, she worked at Hassan & Associate in Motijheel, Dhaka (2012–2016), where she was responsible for maintaining legal documentation, drafting agreements and legal notes, supporting litigation management, and conducting land document verification.

Her most significant institutional role was serving as District Project Officer at Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (BLAST) from November 2018 to March 2022 (3.4 years). In this capacity, she worked on justice reform and human rights initiatives, engaging with judiciary members, police, prison authorities, district legal aid committees, and government departments to improve criminal justice system efficiency. She also supervised paralegals, organized district-level workshops and trainings, prepared project reports, and contributed to anti-human trafficking and anti-corruption initiatives.

She has also worked with several national and international NGOs including Research Initiatives Bangladesh (RIB), Bandhu Social Welfare Society, Nagorik Uddok, LNOB, RDRS Bangladesh, Bangladesh Manobadhiker Kalyan Trust, Partners in Health and Development, and The Salvation Army. Her NGO work includes legal facilitation, training (including online TOT and gender-based violence legal remedies training), advocacy, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualification


Advocate Zannatul Ferdous combines formal legal education with extensive litigation and development-sector experience. She has sound knowledge of national laws and international human rights instruments, including legal frameworks related to human trafficking and gender-based violence. Her expertise includes legal drafting, documentation, case management, land record verification, advocacy implementation, and justice reform engagement.
